| EggFly Privacy Policy |
| This page describes how we collect and use the
information you provide to our databases through the eggfly.com web site. |
| EggFly is an online social networking community that connects
people through their personal networks and allows them to meet others,
find things like jobs or roommates, buy and sell goods, and perform other
transactions. Members create their own profiles, and those profiles are
then shown to other members of the site. |
| EggFly is an independently owned service, operated by K
Composite Media. We collect information that is voluntarily submitted by
members which allows us to identify users
and notify them of changes or updates to our service. This information
includes names, e-mail addresses, et cetera. We also collect personal
information submitted by our users when they complete their profiles
on the service; such as gender, location, age, etc. We collect this personal
information when our users: sign up as a member; make changes to their
member profile information; and send e-mail messages. Members may choose
to provide additional information beyond their basic profile for their
other profile sections. Providing additional information beyond what is
required at registration is entirely optional, but enables our users to
better identify each other, customize their pages, and more effectively
connect and interact with their network, thereby enhancing their personal
enjoyment of the service. All users have the option to conceal some of
their personal information from other users - i.e. age, location and gender
- while still being able to take advantage of geographically-enhanced features
such as location-based searching. These privacy options appear in the Account
Settings control panel in the My Profile section. |
| Like many other web sites, EggFly uses a standard technology
called "cookies." Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your
hard drive rather than on our site. They can help make the internet
experience quicker and more convenient. Cookies allow EggFly users to
login without entering their ID and password each time they visit the
site, and save personalized preferences. Members who disable cookies will
not be able to use EggFly, as the site is dependent on cookies being enabled
in order to function properly. |
| EggFly members' e-mail addresses and full names are displayed
only when a user invites a friend via e-mail to join the service, when
a user requests to add another member to their EggFly list, and when we
send notifications to users related to their use of the service. Except
when members invite friends, full names are not shared or displayed with
people outside of their personal network. If you would like to display
your full name to all users, you may enter it completely in the First Name
field and simply enter a period or other characters in the Last Name field.
E-mail addresses of EggFly members are never displayed to other members
on the system, unless a member includes their address in one of their
public profile text fields (not recommended) or personal communications.
Users within a personal network can communicate with each other on EggFly
through its built-in mail system with without the need for disclosing their
proper e-mail addresses. |
| We will not sell, lease, disclose or exchange data to third
parties unless the transaction is required by law, or serves to protect
or enhance EggFly membership services. The personal comments, images,
listings and other nonspecific data that members provide to the EggFly
system may appear in online features (i.e. featured members)
or in printed materials (i.e. advertisements, books) used to promote
the EggFly community. |
| If you use our Invite feature to bring a friend to the service,
the system will ask you for your friend's e-mail address. We'll automatically
send your friend an e-mail inviting them to join your personal network
on EggFly, as well as two reminder messages. EggFly primarily uses these
addresses only to send the invitations and reminders. This information
is stored for the purpose of sending the invitation and reminders, and
for tracking the success of the site's Invite functionality. |
| The EggFly site may contain links to other web sites. Please
be aware that EggFly is not responsible for the privacy practices of other
sites our users choose to visit. If our users provide any information directly
to parties other than EggFly, different rules may apply to the use or disclosure
of the personal information disclosed. We encourage you to investigate and
ask questions before disclosing your personal information to third parties.

| Whenever members voluntarily disclose personal information
online - e.g., message boards, file uploads, events, and classifieds - that
information becomes public and can be collected and used by others. By posting
personal contact information online in public forums, members may receive
unsolicited messages from other parties. We encourage you, therefore, to
have other members contact you through the EggFly mail system, rather than listing your
personal contact information in any ads or forums. |
| Establishing membership at EggFly.com and using the site
signifies your acceptance of the site's Privacy Policy and Terms
of Service.
Members will be notified in the event that any of EggFly's policies and
rules change. A 30-day evaluation period will pass between member notification
of new policies and their implementation. For your protection and trust, new policies will not be retroactive.
Members are free to terminate their service at any time, although members
who use the site through a paid subscription are not eligible nor entitled
to refunds of the unused period of their service. |
